Exploring the seagrass beds of Arran

Our first ever Storyteller in Residence, wildlife photographer, writer, and expedition leader Henley Spiers, is currently on the Isle of Arran off the west coast of Scotland to research and photograph his first exciting full SiR feature for us. In this 'Despatches: From the field' video, he talks about the diverse seagrass beds of the island and its many inhabitants.

Words and photographs by Henley Spiers

Here, Henley Spiers, our Storyteller in Residence, reports from his first location: the Isle of Arran in Scotland. “This location is going to be part of my first story about marine protection in Scotland,” Henley explains.

One of the first things he did when arriving on the island was to explore its vast seagrass beds. What did he see? How did it feel? And what did he learn?
