FAQ's
Who can host an exhibition?
We invite venues of all sizes to host an OPY exhibition. 'Full', 'Winners-Only' and 'Pop-up' sizes are available.
When can an exhibition run, and for how long?
Exhibitions can run from the day after the winners are announced (mid-September) to the day the finalists are announced the following year (mid-August). We encourage indoor partners to host their exhibition for a minimum of 3 months, though there is no strict minimum run-time.
Who designs the exhibitions?
All exhibitions are bespoke, designed by the OPY team in collaboration with each venue. This approach ensures each venue's audience's needs are best met.
Who produces the exhibitions?
Once final artwork is created and approved, venues are encouraged to produce the physical materials locally. Shipping options from the UK are available if necessary.
Are non-English versions available?
Translations of all English panels and captions can be arranged on request.
How much does it cost?
Hire fees vary depending on the size of the exhibition and the length of the hire period.
