In his video column, Giosue ‘Gio’ Reale, a Brighton-based PADI AmbassaDiver and video content producer, shares more information on an exciting species that can be found just off the beach in Sussex – giant stingrays. 

He says: “The weather is getting warmer which means that stingray season is upon us. Here, in Sussex, it’s actually one of the best places in the world to see common stingrays between April and September.”

While the peak of the season is May, he says, the common stingrays in Sussex are a lot bigger than elsewhere.
