At sunrise, a traditional fishing village shares the coastline with rows of offshore wind turbines stretching across the sea. The yellow stone houses represent generations shaped by the ocean, while the turbines illustrate modernity. Calm water and clear conditions reveal both landscapes in harmony, inviting viewers to consider how renewable energy and maritime heritage can coexist within the same seascape.

Lin Yongxuan, born in 1973 in Youxi, Fujian Province, is an Intermediate Arts and Crafts Artist. He graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Xiamen University and has worked in graphic design ever since. Influenced by his grandfather, a professional photographer, in his childhood, he cultivated a passion for imagery and light in darkroom developing work. While pursuing a career in design, he received systematic professional photography training in 2019 and refocused on photographic creation. He is a member of the Image Copyright Society of China, the Chinese Artistic Photographers Society and the Xiamen Photographers Association. He excels at observing light and shadow and composing frames with a graphic design mindset.
