An aerial view of Malé Fish Market showing a fisherman emptying a barrel of fish waste into the sea as a swarm of rays gathers below. Rather than a natural feeding event, this behaviour is driven by human activity. The discarded remains provide an easy food source, altering where and how these rays feed.
