"This was my first encounter with a whale shark. It took my breath away," says photographer Didem Nalbantgil. "I saw four sharks in total. All of them had their symbiotic hitchhikers, but one of them was different from the rest. It was almost impossible to see its skin pattern because of the number of remoras attached to it. It was a shot I didn’t want to miss."
