Gergo Rugli Australia
A seagull flys past a large wave breaking in the light of the rising sun. "The mysterious yellow light and the flying bird inspired me to call this image Griffin as this half-eagle, half-lion mythical creature is mostly represented as a yellow bird-like creature," says photographer Gergo Rugli.

Gergo is an ocean photographer based in Sydney, Australia. Originally from landlocked Hungary, his fascination with the sea began in childhood through stories his grandfather read about dolphins and sharks. After years of exploring nature through drawing, Gergo turned to photography two decades ago. Since relocating to Australia, his work has focused entirely on the ocean. Today, he is dedicated to capturing and helping protect the fragile beauty beneath its surface.
