Finalist Fine Art Photographer of the Year
Scott Portelli Canada
"The polar bear is a master of its own environment," says Portelli. "In April, they leave their dens and move out towards the sea ice to feed. Hunting is a challenging game for a polar bear. The element of surprise, and their cloak of camouflage can be the difference between a meal and starving in the cold, arid and frozen desert."
