Remuna Beca Gun Cay, Bahamas
A nurse shark peaks above the water line. "These docile sharks are slow-moving and often found resting peacefully in the sand near Bimini in the Bahamas," says Beca. "While freediving near the seagrass in deeper water, this curious nurse shark swam in close to investigate my presence and seemed very interested in my dome. The calm conditions were ideal for a split shot and as she swam by, I was able to capture this precise moment of eye contact while she was peeking above the water line."
